Time Travel

Our work flexitime system has gone totally up the spout.  Or rather, it appears to be controlled by someone who's escaped from the loony bin.

All day yesterday the system maintained that the time was an hour ahead of the real time because nobody had bothered to adjust it for the reversion to GMT at the weekend.  Nevermind though, because overnight last night they finally got round to making the change.  Or rather they made 'a' change, rather than 'the' change, and they put the clock forward an hour.

I was trying to work a way to make this work for me but fear it's too late now.  Had I been keyed in when they put the clock forward an hour, and then made sure I was keyed out when they correct for their error and eventually put it back two hours, I could have been two hours up on the deal leaving me just 35 hours to work this week.  A missed opportunity.

Time and tide waits for no man, Rich. In fact, that's where the word Opportunity comes from: Ob Porto means to wait (in your boat, of course) outside a port for the tide to change so you can sail easily into port, timing being of the essence or you might end up on the rocks instead of in port.

I'm glad you didn't do it because you'd have been stealing that hour from the taxpayer (me).
