Since it has been raining non stop for 48 hours now we decided today to do an indoor activity and stay dry so I've no idea how we ended up trudging around an Anglo Saxon burial ground getting drenched.
It was an interesting site though - Sutton Hoo - where an excavation in 1939 uncovered an entire buried Viking longboat with a dead king inside it. It turned out to be the richest burial site in North Europe.
One major plus point was that we spotted the worlds first Dachsheep.
