We've got a "breakfast room" off the back of the kitchen in our new house and so we decided to buy a table and chairs for it. We wanted something basic and practical, where we could sit and eat breakfast or Sam could do art and homework or where I could sit with my laptop if working from home.
We found a table and four chair set from Argos for a fairly reasonable price. And what's more, according to the website the item was in stock and could be delivered on Wednesday next week. Good so far.
So I filled in and submitted the online order form and then seconds later I received the email shown below:

So one item went through fine and I was charged for it and it will apparently be delivered as planned. However, the second item - the table and chairs - was out of stock and the order for this cannot be fulfilled. The only problem is that the first item is the delivery charge for the second! I have been charged £4.95 for the delivery of the delivery of an out of stock item. I'm looking forward to the Argos delivery people asking me for a signature to prove that I have received delivery of the delivery of nothing.
